Can anyone help him please?????

--------------------------------------------------------------
I wonder if any of your 400 can help with advice on the repair of our dishwasher? Until I fix it, I am taking its place. It is an Ariston/Hotpoint/Indesit (all associated) a Spanish Model LSE 615, which equates pretty-well to an English AF350. It has a row of four LCDs along its 'dashboard' which light sequentially when the machine is pre-washing, washing, rinsing and drying.
Upon starting it, the first LED comes on and the machine takes in water, pre-washes the dishes, and pumps out the water. Then the second LED comes on and the gushing and thumping continues. And continues. And continues. Then the second LED goes out and the first one comes back on, and the machine will then run on for ever until it is turned off. Upon opening it, there is an inch of water in the bottom, but no steam, no warmth. The water hasn't heated, and the dishes are cleaner, but not clean.
It may be that the machine's 'brain' is waiting for a 'heating'
signal that doesn't come. Has anyone any helpful infor? Or a manual
- in English?

Regards,

Don Bullock

Hi Donald HSI posted in the forums a website the other day with a lot of white goods service manuals on it not sure what board its on.

For erratic behaviour like that I guess its either the sensors on the blink or the uP's VDD thats too low or ripple on the supply.

Try getting in with load if you've got someone who can shut the door behind you and switch it on then you'll be able to see in real time what goes wrong :giggle: :stop:

It will all come out in the wash.

Chris

We had our dishwasher repaired yesterday a Beko (it would start, rinse a bit then do nothing, a bit like me doing the washing up)
As he does whites and I do browns (that sounds a lot ruder than it should). Hotpoint/Indersits have loads of faults, not sure if thats a good thing or not but he goes out to loads of them.
Tip the washer back about 45degrees, see if some water leaks out of the base, not the hoses. If it does, then there’s a leak probably from the seal on the front but in my case the bit you put the salt in was loose. There’s a plastic float in the bottom of most machines, if there’s a leak, water gathers in the bottom of it. Eventually the float rises and touches a microswitch. The dishwasher will do a number of things, all of them meaning it doesn’t work so it doesn’t piss water all over the floor.
If this is the case then you just find the leak and sort it, if its inside the washer then it might be bad news, if its its the seal, then replace it. They range from £10 to, in the case of the LG ones £110.
Hope the info at least helps but the above is a very common fault on dishwashers over 2 years old that might not get used a lot as the motor/pump etc hasn’t had time to ware out

Anyway, mines fixed which is the main thing :pleased: Peolpe i've spoke to said they'd of binned it, probably the attitude of most folk which is why there was 85 white goods engineers in the Greater Manchester 2 years ago area and now there's 38 (I ask lots of questions, what can I say)
Regards
Andy

Hello.
Have you tried pouring a kettle of boiling water int the drain hole at the bottom of the Machine. Some times the float valve sticks and the boiling water melts the gunge that builds up.
